(Glover) Gallese \u2013 (84) \u2013 of 1190 County Route 66 (Green Acres Trailer Court), Hornell, died after a brief illness Wednesday afternoon (September 12, 2012) at Rochester General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on September 24, 1927, she was the daughter of Roy and Wanda (Howe) Glover.<\/p>\n<p>Vivian grew up in Arkport and attended Arkport High School.\u00a0 She was married on May 5, 1950 to Francis \u201cPeep\u201d Gallese and moved to Buffalo, NY where she was employed by Westinghouse Corporation.\u00a0 In 1971 she moved with her family to Hornell and later became employed by the Hornell School District where she worked until her retirement in 1992.<\/p>\n<p>She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann\u2019s Church.<!--more-->Vivian was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.\u00a0\u00a0 She was very close with her family and cherished time spent with her with children, grandchildren, and brothers and sisters.\u00a0 One of her greatest pleasures was getting together with her family where they would play cards, eat and laugh. She loved to cook and bake and lavished her family and friends with their favorite foods. Vivian enjoyed watching sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan.\u00a0 She occasionally traveled to Toronto to attend their games against the Blue Jays.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis \u201cPeep\u201d Gallese who died July 12, 2010; her parents, Roy and Wanda; 1 brother Larry Glover; 3 Brothers-in-Law, Dorr Burdett, Ed Christie and Alan Shultz.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving Vivian are her son, Francis R. (Maria) Gallese of Rochester; her daughter, Mary Ann (John) Kenefick of Clarence; 7 grandchildren, Karlene Gallese, Gianna Gallese, Carmen Gallese, Zachary Gallese, Katherine (Kevin) Sivic, John Kenefick, and Courtney Kenefick; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob Sivic and Emma Sivic; 5 sisters, Shirley Burdett of Hornell, Marjorie Christie of Greece, NY, Ellen (Frank) Capadonia of Michigan, Sandy (David) Bartlett of Hornell and Sharon Shultz of Sodus Pointe, NY; 1 brother, Lance (Cheryl) Glover of Alexandria, NY; 1 sister-in-law, Nancy Glover of Arkport; many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Vivian\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann\u2019s Church with final interment in St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.\u00a0 Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Vivian\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her name to Mercy Flight, C\/O St. James Mercy Hospital, 411 Canisteo St., Hornell, NY 14843.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vivian M.
