Palazzo &#8211; (94) \u2013 formerly of 106 Elizabeth St., died Monday evening (December 3, 2012) at McAuley Manor where she has resided for the past 12 years.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on October 19, 1918, she was the daughter of Frank &amp; Mary (Grieco) Gallicchio.\u00a0 Angela was a graduate of St. Ann\u2019s School and Hornell High School.\u00a0 She had been employed for several years as a weaver at Stern &amp; Stern Textile (formerly Huguets).<\/p>\n<p>On July 13, 1963, she married Dominic Palazzo who died in 1985.\u00a0 Together they resided in Endicott, New York.\u00a0 Angela returned to Hornell in 1994.\u00a0 While in Endicott, Angela was a communicant of St. Anthony\u2019s Church and a member of the Ladies of Columbus and Sons of Italy.\u00a0 While residing in Hornell, she was a communicant of St. Ann\u2019s Church, a member of the Ladies of Columbus, Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Italian &amp; American Woman\u2019s Club (formerly Sons of Italy auxiliary).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dominic Gallicchio who died in 1968; and her sisters Antoinette Daniels who died in 1992 and Marian Brzozowski who died in 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her step-children, Patrick Palazzo, Michael Palazzo and Mary Linda Kervin; 1sister, Josephine Brzozowski of Parma, OH (formerly of Hornell); several step-grandchildren, nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Angela M. Palazzo will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM until<br \/>\n7:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell.\u00a0 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann\u2019s Church.\u00a0 Burial will be in<br \/>\nSt. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Angela\u2019s family request that memorial contributions in her name may be made to either<br \/>\nSt. Ann\u2019s Academy, PO Box 446, Hornell, NY 14843 or to St. Ann\u2019s Church, 27 Erie Ave., Hornell, NY 14843.\u00a0 Memorial forms will be available at the Dagon Funeral Home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Angela M.
