George"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=1184\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1184\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1184\" title=\"Michelle George Photo.jpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Michelle-George-Photo.jpeg-250x237.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Michelle-George-Photo.jpeg-250x237.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Michelle-George-Photo.jpeg-200x190.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Michelle-George-Photo.jpeg-1024x972.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a>Michelle G. \u201cMickey\u201d George \u2013 59 \u2013 of 34 Sawyer St. Site, Hornell, died Thursday afternoon (February 28, 2013) at St. James Mercy Hospital, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>She was born in Hornell on October 12, 1953, and was the daughter of Gilbert &amp; Carmella (Constantino) Carlton.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1971).\u00a0 She resided in Rochester for several years where she had been employed as a waitress.\u00a0 After moving back to Hornell, she worked in the meat department of the former ACME Grocery.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>She had been a member of the Free Methodist Church in Hornell.\u00a0 Mickey enjoyed music (especially Christian music), had a beautiful voice &amp; enjoyed singing.\u00a0 She liked watching NASCAR on TV and loved keeping in touch with family &amp; friends via telephone.\u00a0 Michelle also enjoyed camping &amp; fishing.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents, Michelle was preceded in death by her sister, Molly Ann Carlton who died in 1951.<\/p>\n<p>She was married January 8, 2005 to Paul George who survives.\u00a0 Also surviving are 3 daughters, Molly Patterson of Hornell, Christina Patterson of Hornell and Elizabeth\u00a0 Burton of Hornell; 4 step-children, Jason George, Joshua George, Jacob (Kim) George &amp; Amanda Rochester; 1 brother, Gilbert \u201cGil\u201d Carlton of Hornell; 2 sisters, Cindy (Bob) Stone of Rochester and Duffle Powell of Pensacola, FL; several grandchildren, nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Michelle G. \u201cMickey\u201d Carlton will receive friends on Monday from<br \/>\n10:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY where a Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11:00 AM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michelle G. \u201cMickey\u201d George \u2013 59 \u2013 of 34 Sawyer St. Site, Hornell, died Thursday afternoon (February 28, 2013) at St. James Mercy Hospital, following a long illness.
