{"id":1395,"date":"2013-09-21T13:21:40","date_gmt":"2013-09-21T13:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=1395"},"modified":"2013-09-21T13:21:40","modified_gmt":"2013-09-21T13:21:40","slug":"arlene-flora-egle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=1395","title":{"rendered":"Arlene Flora Egle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=1396\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1396\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1396\" title=\"Arlene Egle Photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Arlene-Egle-Photo-250x337.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Arlene-Egle-Photo-250x337.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Arlene-Egle-Photo-200x269.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Arlene-Egle-Photo.jpg 692w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a>Arlene Flora Egle \u2013 (71) \u2013 of 1426 Eisman Rd., Arkport (Town of Fremont) died Friday afternoon (September 20, 2013) at her home, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Oneida, NY on October 27, 1941, she was the daughter of Donald &amp; Flora (Harvey) Church of Morrisville, NY.<\/p>\n<p>She was married in Cazenovia, NY on September 19, 1964 to Donald Egle who survives.<\/p>\n<p>Arlene graduated from Morrisville-Eaton Central School in 1959 and Delhi State College in 1961.\u00a0 From 1961-1964 she was employed at General Electric Corporation in Syracuse.\u00a0 For about 2 years, she worked as office personnel at a chiropractor\u2019s office and 2 years as a dairy milker for a local farmer.\u00a0 For a period of 35 years, Arlene and her husband, Donald raised beef &amp; dairy replacements.<\/p>\n<p>For many years Arlene attended St. Ignatius Loyola Church.\u00a0 More recently she was a communicant of St. Ann\u2019s Church.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Donald &amp; Flora Church; her father-in-law, Gifford Egle; 2 brothers-in-law, Francis Knapp and Dennis Egle.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her husband, Donald, survivors include 2 sons, Jeffrey Donald (Machelle) Egle of Loveland, CO and Thomas Gifford (Kim) Egle of Hornell; 2 grandchildren, Joshuah &amp; Abagail\u00a0 Egle of Loveland, CO; 2 step-grandchildren, Zach Erskine of Hornell and Sadie Erskine of Hornell; 5 siblings, Irene Harrington of Maryville, TN, Sharon Knapp of Albany, James (Christine) Church of Dahlonega, GA, Virginia Brooks of Stockbridge, NY and Roy (Bobbi) Church of Avon Lake, OH; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Arlene F. Egle will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM \u2013 7:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.\u00a0 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann\u2019s Church with burial in St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Arlene\u2019s family request that memorial contributions in her name be made to Care First Hospice, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.\u00a0 Memorial forms will be available at the Dagon Funeral Home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arlene Flora Egle \u2013 (71) \u2013 of 1426 Eisman Rd., Arkport (Town of Fremont) died Friday afternoon (September 20, 2013) at her home, following a long illness.
