Cynthia E. \u201cCindy\u201d McGregor \u2013 61 \u2013 of 26 \u00bd Greenwood St., Canisteo, died early Saturday morning (March 8, 2014) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA following a long illness.<\/p>\n
Born in North Hornell on March 9, 1952, she was the daughter of Robert & Marjorie (Payne) Hadley.<\/p>\n
Cindy grew up in Jasper and was a graduate of Jasper High School (class of 1970).\u00a0 She later earned her Practical Nurse\u2019s License through the Hornell BOCES Program.\u00a0 She was employed as an LPN for several years at Bethesda Community Hospital, Noyes Memorial Hospital, Hornell Gardens and Home Health Care.<\/p>\n
She was married on April 28, 1973 to Gordon \u201cGordy\u201d McGregor who survives.\u00a0 Also surviving are 1 son, Seth (Jenny Stephens) McGregor of Hornell; 1 daughter, Kristen (William) Lain of Canisteo; 3 brothers, Dean (Myrna) Hadley of Hornell, Steve Hadley of Rochester and Randy (Liz) Hadley of Jasper; 2 sisters, Debbie (Carlin) Stephens of Jasper and Lori Drake of Canisteo; 4 grandchildren, Shelby Derck, Morgan McGregor, Aaron Lain and Abigail Lain; several nieces & nephews.<\/p>\n
At Cindy\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.\u00a0 Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n
