Cameron"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=1733\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1733\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1733\" title=\"Stephen Cameron Photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Stephen-Cameron-Photo-200x211.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Stephen-Cameron-Photo-200x211.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Stephen-Cameron-Photo-250x263.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Stephen-Cameron-Photo.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Stephen M. \u201cSteve\u201d Cameron \u2013 61 \u2013 of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Hornell, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Calvary Hospital, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on May 7, 1952, he was the son of Dr. Robert &amp; Betty (Roth) Cameron.<\/p>\n<p>Steve grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of St. Ann\u2019s School.\u00a0 He later graduated from Hornell High School (class of 1971).\u00a0 Following high school, Steve attended Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, IN (affiliated with Purdue University).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the years, Steve resided in several locations, including Atlanta, GA, Fort. Lauderdale, FL and has resided in NYC for the past nine years.\u00a0 He was an accomplished artist and won numerous awards for his works.\u00a0 He was employed by \u201cFantastic Creations\u201d as a designer \/ artist and traveled nationally and internationally working with numerous companies throughout the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Steve had a lifelong affection for horses.\u00a0 He was an accomplished equestrian rider and in his younger years enjoyed competitive equestrian riding and also participating in traditional fox hunts.\u00a0 Over the years, Steve owned several horses &#8212; most recently his beloved \u201cStar\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 3 brothers, Francis \u201cF.C.\u201d Cameron of Chambersburg, PA, Bruce \u201cDoc\u201d Cameron of Chambersburg, PA and Casey (Debbie) Cameron of Hornell; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Stephen M. \u201cSteve\u201d Cameron will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 (noon) until 1:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY, where a Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1:00 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stephen M. \u201cSteve\u201d Cameron \u2013 61 \u2013 of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Hornell, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Calvary Hospital, following a long illness.
