{"id":1756,"date":"2014-07-17T15:07:26","date_gmt":"2014-07-17T15:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=1756"},"modified":"2014-07-17T16:12:49","modified_gmt":"2014-07-17T16:12:49","slug":"martha-glynn-samiec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=1756","title":{"rendered":"Martha Glynn Samiec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=1757\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1757\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1757\" title=\"Martha Samiec Photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Martha-Samiec-Photo-200x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Martha-Samiec-Photo-200x225.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Martha-Samiec-Photo-250x281.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Martha-Samiec-Photo.jpg 552w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Martha Glynn Samiec \u2013 (74) \u2013 of 2221 State Rt. 248, Rexville (Town of Greenwood), died Tuesday evening (July 15, 2014) at McAuley Manor, where she had resided since 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on January 16, 1940, she was the daughter of Thomas &amp; Mary Alice (Riefer) Glynn.<\/p>\n<p>Martha grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of St. Ann\u2019s School and Hornell High School (class of 1958).\u00a0 She later earned her Registered Nurses License from St. James School of Nursing.<\/p>\n<p>She was employed as a registered nurse for more than 30 years, working with people with developmental disabilities and retiring from Monroe Developmental Center.<\/p>\n<p>Martha was a former member of St. Ann\u2019s Church in Hornell and more recently was a member of St. Mary\u2019s Church of Rexville.\u00a0 She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, knitting &amp; crocheting and was an avid golfer.\u00a0 She was a former member of the Ladies of Columbus.\u00a0 Most importantly, Martha had a deep love for her family!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>She was married in 1988 to her ever-loving husband of 26 years,\u00a0 Robert \u201cBob\u201d Samiec who survives.\u00a0 Also surviving are 2 sons, Mark (Chris) Saltsman of Mt. Morris and Bruce (Sandra) Saltsman of Arcade; 2 daughters, Lori (Jerry Meyer) Saltsman of Henrietta and Jane (Jeff) Walent of Henrietta; step-children, Mark (Ellen Clark) Samiec of Rochester, Dawn Brown of Newellenton, SC, Bonnie (Milo) Turner of Livonia, Terrie (Chuck) Sanford of Nunda and Lori Koerner of Perry; 1 brother, Tom (Nancy) Glynn of Ormond Beach, FL; 4 sisters, Mary Ann (Francis \u201cBabi\u201d) Argentieri of Hornell, Suzanne (Martin) Christensen of Hornell, Mary Helen (Mark) Huffsmith of Moorhead, MN and Peggy Cregan of Hornell; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Martha G.
