{"id":2631,"date":"2016-12-26T21:27:09","date_gmt":"2016-12-26T21:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=2631"},"modified":"2016-12-26T21:35:27","modified_gmt":"2016-12-26T21:35:27","slug":"wilhelmina-m-billie-erdin-dunkley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=2631","title":{"rendered":"Wilhelmina M. &#8220;Billie&#8221; (Erdin) Dunkley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-2633\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Wilhelmina-Dunkley-Photo-200x256.jpg\" alt=\"Wilhelmina Dunkley Photo\" width=\"200\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Wilhelmina-Dunkley-Photo-200x256.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Wilhelmina-Dunkley-Photo.jpg 212w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Wilhelmina M. \u201cBillie\u201d (Erdin) Dunkley \u2013 73 \u2013 of 276 Knollwood Road, Arkport, died Monday \u00a0(December, 26, 2016) at her St. James Mercy Hospital following an \u00a0illness.<\/p>\n<p>She was born in Paterson, NJ on October 31, 1943 to the late Anna Marie Mayer.<\/p>\n<p>Wilhelmina grew up in Paterson and attended St. Joseph High School (class of 1959).\u00a0 After graduation, Billie moved to Rochester, NY, where she was employed for about 20 years at the Eastman Kodak Company as a payroll clerk.\u00a0 She then became the City Clerk for the City of Rochester until her retirement in 2005.\u00a0 Billie lived in Rochester for most of her adult life until moving to the Arkport area about four years ago to be closer to family.<\/p>\n<p>Lovingly referred to as the \u201cGarage Sale Queen\u201d by her family, Billie loved visiting and collecting items from garage sales.\u00a0 She would even find treasures along the roadside to add to her collection and sell on eBay.\u00a0 Billie especially loved collecting Fenton glass and jewelry.\u00a0 She also enjoyed playing BINGO, and, when unable to attend BINGO games, she would play slots and BINGO on the computer.<\/p>\n<p>Billie was married to John Dunkley, who survives.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her husband, John, Billie is survived by her son, Andrew (Juliann) Erdin of Arkport; four grandchildren, Crystal (Jason) Reeves or Arkport; Samantha (Zach) Billings of Hornell; Laurie Herold of Hornell; and AJ Erdin of Arkport; 7 great-grandchildren, Sania Diaz, Alex Diaz, Ruben Diaz, Dominic Hess, Timothy Conley, Anna Hess, and Brian Hess.<\/p>\n<p>At Billie\u2019s request, there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.\u00a0 Funeral services are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Billie\u2019s family requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to \u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00ad\u00adthe Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Wilhelmina-Dunkley.pdf\">Click here<\/a> to print a Memorial Form.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wilhelmina M. \u201cBillie\u201d (Erdin) Dunkley \u2013 73 \u2013 of 276 Knollwood Road, Arkport, died Monday \u00a0(December, 26, 2016) at her St. James Mercy Hospital following an \u00a0illness.
