Mallery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-270\" title=\"Lynn Mallery\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Lynn-Mallery-200x181.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"181\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Lynn-Mallery-200x181.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Lynn-Mallery-500x453.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Lynn-Mallery.jpg 591w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Lynn M.\u00a0 Mallery \u2013 52 \u2013 of 480 Maple City Drive, Hornell, died unexpectedly Monday morning (August 30, 2010) at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Wellsville, NY on June 1, 1958, she was the daughter of William &amp; Joreen (Sanzo) Mallery.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn resided in Wellsville in her early years and has lived in Hornell for most of her life.\u00a0 She was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1976).<!--more--> Following high school, she enrolled in culinary school in Rochester, NY and later won several awards for cooking.\u00a0 For several years she was employed as a chef and also manager of several restaurants &amp; cooking establishments in the Rochester and Hornell areas.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to college, she graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in Human Services.\u00a0 She later graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Services.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn always had a deep love of cooking &amp; baking.\u00a0 Some of her favorite moments were preparing Thanksgiving &amp; other holiday dinners for her family &#8212; usually with the \u201chelp\u201d of her grandchildren.\u00a0 She enjoyed reading and writing poetry and also liked to watch movies, especially foreign films.\u00a0 Lynn always had time to spend with her grandchildren that she loved so dearly.\u00a0 She would spend countless hours hiking and exploring nature with them.\u00a0 Reading to her grandkids was especially rewarding to her.<\/p>\n<p>She will be remembered as a kindhearted &amp; generous woman who loved her family &amp; many friends.\u00a0 She was always willing to \u201cgo the extra mile\u201d for anyone in need.\u00a0 She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her &#8212; especially her cats, Rudy &amp; Moe.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn was preceded in death by her father, William Mallery and also her loving fianc\u00e9, Richard Naas who died in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 2 daughters, Stephanie Cudoni of Canisteo and Joreen (Shane) Young of Hornell; her mother, Joreen Mallery of Hornell; 1 sister, Anne (Wayne) Keresztury of Grants Pass, OR; 2 grandchildren, Julius Young &amp; Mackenzie Cregan.<\/p>\n<p>The family of Lynn M.
