Beers \u2013 22 \u2013 of 7997 Knolltop Court, Arkport, NY died Friday morning (June 9, 2017) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, following a three year battle with Crohn\u2019s Disease.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Syracuse, NY on November 30, 1994, she was the daughter of Thomas F. Beers and Mary Jo (Morrison) Beers.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of Arkport, NY since the age of four, Julia was a graduate of Arkport Central School (class of 2013) and later attended SUNY Fredonia.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her three year battle with Crohn\u2019s Disease, Julia kept family &amp; friends updated and informed about her struggles by posting on her daily blog on the internet.\u00a0 She was always willing to share her story with others via her \u201cinternet diary.\u201d\u00a0 Julia was an inspiration to others because of her blog, which can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.SincerelyJuliaMary.com\">www.SincerelyJuliaMary.com<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>Julia was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James R. Beers.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her father, Thomas F. Beers of Arkport; her mother, Mary Jo Beers of Buffalo; 2 sisters, Sarah Beers and Laura Beers of Arkport; paternal grandmother, Mary \u201cDona\u201d Beers of Granville Summit, PA; maternal grandparents, Jim &amp; Jackie Morrison of Arkport; several aunts, uncles &amp; cousins.<\/p>\n<p>At Julia\u2019s request there will be no prior calling hours.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 8<sup>th<\/sup> at 2:00 PM at the Granville Center Church of Christ, 1819 Beers Road, Granville Summit, PA 16926.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Julia\u2019s family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to The Cleveland Clinic Foundation \u2013 Crohn\u2019s &amp; Colitis Research Fund, PO Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193-1655.\u00a0 \u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Julia-Beers.pdf\">Click here<\/a> to print a memorial form.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Julia M.
