Crosby<\/strong> \u2013 77 \u2013 of 7477 Seneca Road, Hornell, died Monday afternoon (March 25, 2019) at Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in North Hornell on July 30, 1941, he was the son of Leo &amp; Rose (Generalli) Crosby.<\/p>\n<p>Leo grew up in Hornell and attended Hornell High School.\u00a0 He had been employed for a time at the former Erie Lackawanna Railroad as an electrician apprentice.<\/p>\n<p>Residing in Rochester, NY for nearly 40 years, Leo had been employed as a truck driver for Fay\u2019s Drug Store and later as a bus driver for the Fairport School System.\u00a0 For many years, he owned his own Taxi Cab business in the Rochester area.\u00a0 Originally he owned &amp; operated 3 cabs and primarily worked in conjunction with the Rochester airport.\u00a0 He eventually owned &amp; operated Fairport Taxi and operated throughout the entire Rochester area.\u00a0 He moved back to Hornell about 9 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Leo enjoyed watching sporting events on TV &#8212; especially baseball (LA Dodger Fan), football &amp; basketball.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas P. Crosby.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 3 brothers, William Crosby of Hornell, Kevin (Lisa) Crosby of Hornell and Michael Crosby of Louisville, KY; 1 sister, Mary Ellen O\u2019Brien of Hornell; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces &amp; great-nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Leo\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Leo\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 4742 North 24<sup>th<\/sup> St. (suit 400), Phoenix, AZ\u00a0\u00a0 85016\u00a0 or to St. Jude Children\u2019s Hospital, PO Box 1000 \u2013 Dep\u2019t 300, Memphis, TN 38148.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leo F.
