{"id":3923,"date":"2019-08-26T19:46:44","date_gmt":"2019-08-26T19:46:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=3923"},"modified":"2019-08-27T22:23:10","modified_gmt":"2019-08-27T22:23:10","slug":"suzanne-sue-fitzgerald","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=3923","title":{"rendered":"Suzanne &#8220;Sue&#8221; Fitzgerald"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bath, New York<\/p>\n<p>Suzanne \u201cSue\u201d Fitzgerald \u2013 70 \u2013 of 105 Geneva St., Bath, NY, died Tuesday morning (August 20, 2019) at Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Corning, NY on October 28, 1948, she was the daughter of William &amp; Florence (Flood) Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n<p>Sue grew up in Corning and was a graduate of East Corning High School (class of 1966).\u00a0 She later graduated from Nursing School in Pennsylvania, obtaining her Registered Nurse\u2019s License.<\/p>\n<p>For many years, Sue had been employed as a registered nurse at Corning Hospital, primarily working in the Respiratory Unit.<\/p>\n<p>She served as a dispatcher for the Campbell Fire Department and also volunteered her time by working on their fundraising projects.\u00a0 She also enjoyed making jewelry.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, William \u201cPat\u201d Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her nephew, Timothy Fitzgerald and her niece, Michelle Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n<p>At Sue\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sue\u2019s family request that memorial contributions in her name be made to the charity of the donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bath, New York Suzanne \u201cSue\u201d Fitzgerald \u2013 70 \u2013 of 105 Geneva St., Bath, NY, died Tuesday morning (August 20, 2019) at Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath.
