Sutton \u2013 71 \u2013 of 8514 Bishopville Road, Arkport, NY (Town of Almond) died Wednesday afternoon (November 13, 2019) at her home, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Wilmington, OH on October 14, 1948, she was the daughter of Earl &amp; Mary (Curl) Creighton.<\/p>\n<p>Linda lived in Wilmington, OH until the age of 14 at which time her family moved to Sarasota, FL.\u00a0 She was a graduate of Sarasota High School (class of 1966) and was a member of the Art Club.<\/p>\n<p>She was married on April 12, 1975 to Michael E. Sutton who died October 13, 2016.\u00a0 Linda and Mike resided several places throughout the years, including Almond, NY and Bossier City, LA.\u00a0 They moved to Arkport in 1988.<\/p>\n<p>Linda was an avid reader who enjoyed reading fictional novels.\u00a0 She also enjoyed the outdoors and love working in her flower &amp; vegetable gardens. She was very creative and enjoyed drawing and making decorations. Her greatest joy, however, was simply enjoying the time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren &amp; great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her husband, Michael, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lynn Sutton; her father Earl Creighton.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 2 sons, Chris Sutton of Arkport and Randy (Heather) Sutton of St. Augustine, FL; her daughter, Nichole (David) Preston of Hornell, her\u00a0 mother, Mary Vaughan of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Philip (Brittany) Sutton, Cody Sutton, Kaylee Sutton, Sierra Sutton and Lindsay Preston; her great-grandchildren, Nash Sutton, Boe Sutton and Levi Sutton.<\/p>\n<p>At Linda\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY <\/strong>with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.\u00a0 Final interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Alfred Station, NY.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Linda E.
