Kratts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Martha-Kratts-Photo-200x276.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Martha-Kratts-Photo-200x276.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Martha-Kratts-Photo-250x345.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Martha-Kratts-Photo.jpg 401w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Martha E. \u201cMarti\u201d Kratts \u2013 82 \u2013 formerly of Hornell, died Thursday evening (June 18, 2020) at the home of her daughter in Leicester, NY following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 5, 1937, she was the daughter of Joseph &amp; Mabel (Henderson) HerrNeckar.<\/p>\n<p>Marti grew up in Upper Darby, PA, moving to Dalton, NY in 1950.\u00a0 \u00a0She was a graduate of Nunda Central School (class of 1955).\u00a0 She resided in the Tonawanda, NY area for many years and had been employed in the Fabric Department of K-Mart Department Store.\u00a0 In 1970 she returned to Dalton, NY where she worked as a bookkeeper for the Baker Feed Mill.<\/p>\n<p>Moving to Hornell in the early 1980\u2019s, Marti had been a long-time member of the Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed sewing &amp; crocheting and throughout the years created many afgans and also made clothing for her family, especially her grandchildren.\u00a0 She also loved spending time working in her flower garden.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Baker and also her niece, Cindy Turo.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 4 sons, Scott (Nancy) Kratts of Plattsburg, NY, Lonnie (Bonnie) Kratts of Dalton, NY, Gary (Eva) Kratts of Knoxville, TN and Kevin Tully of Chicago, IL; 1 daughter, Wendy (Michael) Mallaber of Leicester, NY; 1 brother, Edwin (Anne) HerrNeckar of Salt Lake City, UT; 10 Grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A private graveside service will be held at Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Father John Andrews officiating.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Graveside Service for Martha \u201cMarti\u201d Kratts will be streamed via Facebook Live and can be viewed on the Dagon Funeral Home Facebook\u00a0 page on Thursday at 2:00 PM by visiting <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dagonfuneralhome\"><strong><em>www.facebook.com\/dagonfuneralhome<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>.\u00a0 The video will remain available for viewing on our Facebook page for 30 days.<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the<strong> Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marti\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mt.
