{"id":4451,"date":"2020-06-23T18:58:48","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T18:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=4451"},"modified":"2020-06-25T15:06:51","modified_gmt":"2020-06-25T15:06:51","slug":"sara-a-roselli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=4451","title":{"rendered":"Sara A. &#8220;Sally&#8221; Roselli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sara-Roselli-Photo-1-200x279.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sara-Roselli-Photo-1-200x279.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sara-Roselli-Photo-1-250x348.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Sara-Roselli-Photo-1.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Sara A. \u201cSally\u201d Roselli \u2013 80 \u2013 of 204 Main St., Hornell, died Monday morning (June 22, 2020) at her home, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>A native &amp; life resident of Hornell, she was born May 17, 1940 and was the daughter of Donald &amp; Geraldine (Allen) Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Sally was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1958) and later received her Registered Nurse\u2019s License from St. James School of Nursing (class of 1961).\u00a0 From 1961-1965 she served as a registered nurse at the former Harris Nursing Home in Hornell which was owned &amp; operated by her mother.\u00a0 Sally was also employed as a Private Duty Nurse in the Hornell area for several years.<\/p>\n<p>She had been a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell and was a talented artist, having several beautiful paintings to her credit.\u00a0 She also had a deep affection for animals and truly loved her pet cat &amp; bird.<\/p>\n<p>Sally was preceded in death by her son, John J. Roselli (died December 12, 2019); her granddaughter, Angelina Eicher; her former husband, Arthur \u201cArt\u201d Roselli; 1 brother, Joseph Harris; 1 sister, Helen Grissom.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 3 daughters, Karen (John) Dagon of Hornell, Kathy (Joe Ebert) Roselli of Almond and Anne Rovito of Harpswell, ME; 1 granddaughter, Tagan Rovito;\u00a0 3 grandsons, John, Jimmy and Sam Dagon; her great-grandson, Cadian Buck; 1 brother, Frederic Harris of Arkport; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Sally\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sally\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sara A. \u201cSally\u201d Roselli \u2013 80 \u2013 of 204 Main St., Hornell, died Monday morning (June 22, 2020) at her home, following a long illness.
