Dugo &#8211; 92 \u2013 formerly of 129 Hornell St., died Thursday evening (July 2, 2020), surrounded by her family, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born April 13<sup>th<\/sup>, 1928, in Susquehanna, Pa., she was the daughter of Harry &amp; Mildred (Barnhart) Parmelee.\u00a0 She has resided in Hornell for most of her life.<\/p>\n<p>Marie was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann\u2019s Church.\u00a0 She was also a member of the Beato Angelo Society.\u00a0 She had been employed for many years as a waitress at the lunch counter at the former JJ Newberry Co., and also FW Woolworth in Hornell.<\/p>\n<p>She was married on July 17<sup>th<\/sup>, 1948, to John \u201cMeo\u201d Dugo who died September 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 1998.\u00a0 Marie was also preceded in death by her son, John \u201cFloyd\u201d Dugo who died December 17, 2012; her great-granddaughter, Savanna Rose Coots; her sisters, Marion Palmer, Kay Dunning and Lucy Foster; and her brother, Eugene Parmelee.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 2 sons, Benjamin M. Dugo of Hornell and Dominic (Lori) Dugo of Jacksonville, NC;\u00a0 1 Daughter, Lynn (Melvin) Cline of Hornell; her grandchildren, Stacie Gibson, Shawn Cline, Brian Cline, Brent Cline, Christopher Cline, Alicia Dugo, Benjamin Dugo, Gemma Witt &amp; Dominic Dugo; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Marie\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 PM at St. Ann\u2019s Church with burial in St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marie\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Ann\u2019s Church, 27 Erie Ave., Hornell, NY 14843.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marie R.
