Gregory Wayne Ide \u2013 42 \u2013 of Richmond, VA, formerly of Almond, NY, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2020.<\/p>\n

He was born in Fort Campbell, KY on January 30, 1978 and throughout the years resided in many locations, including Kentucky, Virginia, Louisiana, New York and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

From 1987 \u2013 1994 Gregory lived in Almond, NY where he attended Alfred-Almond Central School.\u00a0 He returned to Virginia about two years ago where he had been employed as a Heating & Air Conditioning Technician (HVAC).<\/p>\n

Gregory will be remembered as a quiet \u201cFamily Man\u201d who simply loved his entire family.\u00a0 He was especially devoted to his daughter, Lila, and spent countless hours reading to her, working on puzzles and other crafts.\u00a0 Gregory also enjoyed taking Lila fishing and going on long walks with her.\u00a0 He was truly a \u201cProud Dad\u201d who never missed one of his daughter\u2019s school functions.\u00a0 He loved playing video games and watching soccer games on TV.<\/p>\n

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Vicki Ide; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Shea, his maternal grandfather, Harry Shea; his uncles, Dave Hurd, Scott Shea, Mark Shea and Miles Shea.<\/p>\n

Surviving are his daughter Lila M. Ide; his fianc\u00e9, Courtney Harris; his mother, Peggie Ide; his father, Eric Ide (Tammy Henry); 3 sisters, Bethany Ide, Erica Schneider, Erin Schneider Crawford (Ronnie); his paternal grandfather, William Ide; his nieces, Kelcy Deagle & Mercedes Crawford; \u00a0his nephew Trey Crawford; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.<\/p>\n

A \u201cCelebration of Life\u201d will be held at a later date. \u00a0In lieu of flowers, condolences can be sent to: The Gregory Ide Family, 1150 Redwood Dr., Carlisle, PA\u00a0 17013.<\/p>\n
