William R. \u201cBill\u201d Remchuk \u2013 68 \u2013 formerly of Madison Ave., Hornell, died Thursday morning (July 23, 2020) at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation in Corning, following a long illness.<\/p>\n
Born in Hornell on June 19, 1952, he was the son of John & Marguerite (Englert) Remchuk.<\/p>\n
Bill grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1970).\u00a0 He was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country from 1970 \u2013 1973.\u00a0 He later served as a member of the National Guard.<\/p>\n
For many years, Bill had been employed in the sales department at Arkport Suzuki and in his younger years was an avid motorcycle rider.\u00a0 He was also a \u201ccamera buff\u201d and for a time took family and individual portraits at Walmart.<\/p>\n
Bill was married on September 10, 1977 to the former Michelle \u201cMikki\u201d McDonald who died August 14, 2019.\u00a0 He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tabitha \u201cTabi\u201d Remchuk Wang who died April 23, 2020; his brother, John Remchuk.<\/p>\n
Surviving are his son, William \u201cBill\u201d (Tanya) Remchuk JR of Corning; 4 grandchildren, Logan Remchuk, Breanna Remchuk, Evan Morse & Lexi Remchuk; several brothers & sisters.<\/p>\n
At Bill\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n
