Miller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4643\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Jeffrey-Miller-Photo-200x282.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Jeffrey-Miller-Photo-200x282.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Jeffrey-Miller-Photo-250x352.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Jeffrey-Miller-Photo-768x1082.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Jeffrey-Miller-Photo.jpg 834w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Jeffrey L. \u201cJeff\u201d Miller \u2013 57 \u2013 of 61 Scott St., Hornell, died unexpectedly early Friday (November 13, 2020) at his home, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on January 3, 1963, he was the son of Brian &amp; Shirley (Stone) Miller.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1981).\u00a0 He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, serving his country from 1982-1986.\u00a0 While serving in the Marines, he was stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Following his honorable discharge from the military, Jeff returned to the Hornell area and was briefly employed at Gunlock Corporation in Wayland and later served as a truck driver for Byrne Dairy for about two years.\u00a0 For several years he worked at Morrison-Knudson (MK) Corporation serving in many capacities, including sandblaster &amp; welder.<\/p>\n<p>For the past 20 years, Jeff owned &amp; operated \u201cJeff\u2019s Clubhouse\u201d, a friendly Tavern located on River Street in Hornell where friends could gather &amp; have a good time.\u00a0 He had a deep affection for all of his bartenders and patrons alike and thoroughly enjoyed the years that he spent at the bar.<\/p>\n<p>In years past, Jeff enjoyed NASCAR and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan.\u00a0 He cherished the time spent with his family &amp; friends at the Miller Family Camp located near the Jasper-Troupsburg line.\u00a0 He also loved going for rides in his Camaro and visiting his grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Waters (died 2010) and his mother, Shirley Miller (died 2019).<\/p>\n<p>Jeff was married on April 16, 1983 to the former Cindy Shiloh who survives.\u00a0 Also surviving are his daughter, Ambur (Adam Mullen) Miller of Hornell; his son, Jeffrey Tyler Miller of Hornell; his father, Brian Miller of Hornell; 4 grandchildren, Michael Adams, Adalyn Mullen, Bryce Miller &amp; Alivia Miller; several nieces &amp; nephews, including Eric (Laura Fox) Francis and Cheyanna (James) Button; great-nephew, Angel Francis; great-niece, Olivia Button; aunts, uncles &amp; cousins.<\/p>\n<p>At Jeff\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A \u201cCelebration of Life\u201d will be held at date &amp; time to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeff\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Bath VA Medical Center Activities Fund, 76 Veterans Ave., Bath, NY 14810.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeffrey L. \u201cJeff\u201d Miller \u2013 57 \u2013 of 61 Scott St., Hornell, died unexpectedly early Friday (November 13, 2020) at his home, following a long illness.
