White"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4784\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Jeffrey-White-Photo-200x289.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Jeffrey-White-Photo-200x289.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Jeffrey-White-Photo-250x361.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Jeffrey-White-Photo.jpg 409w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Jeffrey L. \u201cWitt\u201d White \u2013 66 \u2013 of 202 Spring Meadow Apartments, Bath, died Sunday afternoon (January 24, 2021) at Corning Hospital, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Bath, NY on February 1, 1954, he was the son of Leroy &amp; Ruth (Spurling) White.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffrey grew up in Bath and was a graduate of\u00a0 Haverling High School (class of 1973).\u00a0 He had been employed as a builder &amp; inspector for Babcock Ladder Company for about 12 years and briefly worked as a construction laborer in the Bath area.\u00a0 He later was employed as a \u201ccutter\u201d and \u201cstamping machine operator\u201d for Clark Specialty in Hammondsport.<\/p>\n<p>A 17 year cancer survivor, Jeffrey enjoyed collecting model cars.\u00a0 As an accomplished artist, he loved drawing &amp; sketching and was known for his beautiful line drawings.\u00a0 He also enjoyed making beaded doorway &amp; window curtains and pin striping cars.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy &amp; Ruth White.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 3 sons, Jason (Charity) Wenban of Seminole, FL, David (Elizabeth Wellington) White of Avoca and Thomas White of Avoca; his brother, Larry D. White of Bath; his step-sister, Linda \u201cLynn\u201d Sandler of Texas; 5 grandchildren, Colin White, Lilly White, Kadence White, Aryah Wellington and Eliana Wellington; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Jeffrey\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with a \u201cCelebration of Life\u201d to be held at a future date.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of the donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeffrey L. \u201cWitt\u201d White \u2013 66 \u2013 of 202 Spring Meadow Apartments, Bath, died Sunday afternoon (January 24, 2021) at Corning Hospital, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
