\"\"<\/a>Leonora M. \u201cLee\u201d Wing \u2013 82 \u2013 of Burleson, TX, formerly of Hornell, died early Saturday morning (January 1, 2011) in Burleson, following a long illness.<\/p>\n

Born in Hornell on September 25, 1928, she was the daughter of George & Ruby (O\u2019Neil) Baird.<\/p>\n

Lee grew up in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1947).\u00a0 Following high school, she attended beautician\u2019s school and became a licensed hairdresser.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For several years she owned & operated a shoe store in Woodstock, NY.\u00a0 Lee later enrolled in nursing school in North Carolina and became a nurse\u2019s aide.\u00a0 She was employed as a first aide trainer at IBM Corporation in North Carolina and later began working on the assembly line.\u00a0 She retired from IBM in 1985.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lee enjoyed all crafts, especially ceramics, knitting, cross stitching, crocheting & embroidery.\u00a0 She also enjoyed watching professional & competitive ice skating on television, especially the Olympics, and playing bingo.\u00a0 She would also spend countless hours watching old movies on TV.<\/p>\n

She was married in 1990 to Dale Wing who survives.\u00a0 Together they resided in several locations, including Hornell, Peoria, AZ, and Chino Valley, AZ.\u00a0 They have lived in Burleson, TX, for the past 5 years.<\/p>\n

Lee was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David Baird & Richard Baird; 2 sisters, Ruby Dailey and Barbara Caudell.<\/p>\n

In addition to her husband,\u00a0 Dale, survivors include 1 daughter, Linda (Roger) Douglas of\u00a0 Pittsboro,\u00a0 NC; 1 step-daughter,\u00a0 Toni (John) Wing Jenkins of\u00a0 Burleson, TX; 1 step-son, Tom (Rene) Wing of Fresno, CA; 1 sister,\u00a0 Arlene (Don) Crowley of\u00a0 Hornell;\u00a0 2 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren;\u00a0 5 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.<\/p>\n

The family of Leonora M. \u201cLee\u201d Wing will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM\u00a0 –\u00a0 2:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY, where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.\u00a0 Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.<\/p>\n

Lee\u2019s family request the memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Alumni Association, PO Box 135, Hornell, NY 14843.\u00a0 Memorial forms will be available at the Dagon Funeral Home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
