Hovey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Donald G. \u201cDonny\u201d Hovey \u2013 57 \u2013 of 2052 East Main St., Rochester, formerly of Hornell &amp; Arkport, died unexpectedly on August 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2021 at his home.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on May 2, 1964, he was the son of Donald &amp; Clarissa (Fanton) Hovey.<\/p>\n<p>Donny grew up in the Hornell \u2013 Arkport area and attended Arkport Central School, Hornell High School and Hornell BOCES at the Wildwood Campus.\u00a0 Throughout the years he resided in several places including Hornell, Arkport, Avoca, Naples, Alfred and had lived in the Rochester area since the mid 1990\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>His greatest pleasure was listening to country music and especially enjoyed Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn and Tammy\u00a0Wynette.\u00a0 In his younger years he loved\u00a0riding his bike and camping with his parents.\u00a0 He loved to stop and talk to people and easily made friends along the way.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul\u00a0Sugden\u00a0and Roy\u00a0Sugden\u00a0of Hornell.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving\u00a0are\u00a0his brother, Jay (Cathy)\u00a0Sugden\u00a0of Florida; his sister, Anita Gordon of Canisteo; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Donald G. \u201cDonny\u201d Hovey \u2013 57 \u2013 of 2052 East Main St., Rochester, formerly of Hornell &amp; Arkport, died unexpectedly on August 3rd, 2021 at his home.
