Kit Eldon Carson \u2013 79 \u2013 of 1358 State Route 248, Rexville, NY died unexpectedly on Thursday (April 14, 2022) at his home.<\/p>\n
Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 18, 1942, he was the son of Clare & Katherine (Schoonover) Carson.<\/p>\n
Kit was a veteran of the US Navy, serving his country from 1959 \u2013 1961.\u00a0 He resided in New York State and Pennsylvania for many years and for about 10 years lived in Las Vegas, NV and for about 20 years in Mesquite, NV.\u00a0 He has lived in Rexville for the past 5 years.<\/p>\n
He had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.\u00a0 Kit enjoyed working on vintage cars and also enjoyed drawing & sketching.\u00a0 He will be remembered as a \u201cJokester\u201d with a wonderful sense of humor.<\/p>\n
Kit was married to the former Nancy Blosser who died in 2008.\u00a0 He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Katie Marie Carson; his son, Kris Carson and his sister, Carol.<\/p>\n
Surviving are his son, John (Charlotte Unsworth) Carson of Albuquerque, NM; his mother, Katherine Carson Eighmey; his brother, Clair Wayne Carson; 4 grandchildren, Danny Keys, Emi Barrington, Abbey Barrington and Genevieve Carson; 1 great-grandson, Epsilon Barrington; several nieces & nephews.<\/p>\n
At Kit\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n
Kit\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY\u00a0 14843.<\/p>\n
