Osmin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5770\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Osmin-Photo-250x387.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Osmin-Photo-250x387.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Osmin-Photo-200x309.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Osmin-Photo.jpg 388w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>Robert J. \u201cBob\u201d Osmin \u2013 60 \u2013 of 13 East William St., Bath, died unexpectedly at his home.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Wellsville, NY on June 27, 1961, he was the son of Floyd &amp; Eloise (Spangenberg) Osmin.<\/p>\n<p>Bob grew up in the Canisteo, Rexville &amp; Arkport areas and was a graduate of Arkport Central School (class of 1980).\u00a0 He later attended the Wellsville Campus of Alfred State College where he studied welding.<\/p>\n<p>He was employed as a welder for several years at the former Foster-Wheeler Corporation in Dansville and for nearly 20 years worked as a \u201cpruner\u201d for Stutzman\u2019s Tree Farm.<\/p>\n<p>Moving to Texas, Bob owned &amp; operated \u201cBob O\u2019s Mow &amp; Go\u201d landscaping service for several years.\u00a0 After Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of Texas, he moved back to New York State and briefly resided in Avoca.\u00a0 For a time, Bob again worked at Stutzman\u2019s Tree Farm and later was employed at Gunlock Corporation in Wayland and Rent-A-Center in Bath.<\/p>\n<p>Bob was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and simply taking long walks through the woods.\u00a0 He also enjoyed spending time working in his vegetable garden.\u00a0 He had a deep affection for animals and throughout the years owned several dogs.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas \u201cNick\u201d Osmin; his father, Floyd Osmin; and his brother, Mike Cady.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 2 daughters, Erica (Casey) Bush of Avoca and Valerie (Derek) Ribble of Canisteo; 1 son, Nathan \u201cNate\u201d Osmin of Hornell; his mother, Eloise Turner of Canisteo; 1 brother, James (Rosetta) Osmin of Hornell; 4 sisters, Mary Howell of Baltimore, MD, Patricia (David) Scouten of Hornell, Melissa (Bryan) Ladner of Bath and Debbie McGregor of Adrian, NY; 11 grandchildren; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Bob\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Bob\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY\u00a0 14843.<\/p>\n<p>To leave an online condolence or share a memory, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\">www.dagonfuneralhome.com<\/a>.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5771\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Robert-Osmin-Photo-250x358.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Robert-Osmin-Photo-250x358.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Robert-Osmin-Photo-200x286.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Robert-Osmin-Photo.jpg 331w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert J. \u201cBob\u201d Osmin \u2013 60 \u2013 of 13 East William St., Bath, died unexpectedly at his home.
