Walters \u2013 66 \u2013 of Cunningham Creek Rd., Canisteo, NY (Town of Hornellsville), formerly of Rochester, died unexpectedly on Wednesday (February 8, 2023) shortly after being admitted to St. James Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Rochester on July 31, 1956, she was the daughter of Charles &amp; Catherine (McDonald) Walters.<\/p>\n<p>Linda grew up in Rochester and was a graduate of Nazareth High School.\u00a0 She was employed at Kodak Corporation, working in many capacities, retiring with over 35 years of service.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of the Hornell-Canisteo area for the past 5 years, Linda will be remembered as a loving &amp; caring woman who was \u201cgenerous to a fault\u201d and who simply enjoyed helping others.\u00a0 She truly would \u201cgive you the shirt off her back\u201d if needed. Linda absolutely loved and was devoted to her family! \u00a0She was also an animal lover who owned many dogs throughout her lifetime and was especially fond of her canine companion, \u201cGinger\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, William \u201cBill\u201d Walters who died October 4, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her sister, Carol (Debbie) Hummel of Rochester; 2 brothers, Michael (Anne) Walters of \u00a0Rochester and Charles (Tammy) Walters of Rochester; 5 nieces; 2 nephews; 7 great-nieces; &amp; 10 great-nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Linda\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A \u201cCelebration of Life\u201d will be held at time and date to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Linda\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY\u00a0 14843.<\/p>\n<p>To leave an online condolence or share a memory, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\">www.dagonfuneralhome.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Linda M.
