VanLuvanee \u2013 68 \u2013 of Green Meadow Acres South, Campbell, NY, died Friday morning (May 12, 2023) at Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Bath, NY on September 25, 1954, she was the daughter of Abel &amp; Marion (Travis) Stinson.<\/p>\n<p>Ellen grew up in Bradford, NY and attended Bradford Central School.\u00a0 While living in Bradford, she worked several jobs including baby-sitting.\u00a0 She resided in Rochester for a time and was employed as a cashier at a local grocery store.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of the Campbell area for nearly 50 years, Ellen served as a waitress at a local diner and for many years worked for USDA Farm Service Agency, helping farmers throughout the area.\u00a0 She retired about 15 years ago.\u00a0 Following her \u201cretirement\u201d, Ellen was employed as a cashier at Kings Grocery in Savona, NY.<\/p>\n<p>In her younger years, Ellen enjoyed crocheting &amp; gardening.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Stinson, Robert Stinson and Paul Stinson; 3 sisters, Sharon Klock, Donna Taylor &amp; Theresa Hatch.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her husband, Herbert VanLuvanee; 2 sons, Richard \u201cRick\u201d (Michelle) Salisbury of Bath and Tige (Jennifer) Salisbury of Bath; 1 brother, William (Catherine) Walters; 3 sisters, Debbie Stinson of Penn Yan, Barbara Buckley of Savona and Janet (David) Mendez of Bradford, NY; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces &amp; nephews and her beloved Pug, \u201cRollie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Ellen\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Ellen\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY\u00a0 14843.<\/p>\n<p>To leave an online condolence or share a memory, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\">www.dagonfuneralhome.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Campbell, New York Ellen E.
