{"id":671,"date":"2011-05-20T22:04:14","date_gmt":"2011-05-20T22:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=671"},"modified":"2011-05-20T22:04:14","modified_gmt":"2011-05-20T22:04:14","slug":"veronica-dorothy-flaitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=671","title":{"rendered":"Veronica Dorothy Flaitz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-673\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=673\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-673\" title=\"Veronica Flaitz Photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Veronica-Flaitz-Photo1-250x288.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"221\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Veronica Dorothy \u201cDot\u201d Flaitz &#8211; 85 \u2013 a resident at McAuley Manor Nursing Home in Hornell, died Thursday, May 19, 2011.\u00a0 Until a debilitating stroke in 2007, she had resided with her husband on the Big Creek Road in Hornell.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Born in Rockledge, FL on April 6, 1926, she was the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Swort) Teater.<\/p>\n<p>Dot grew up in Whitesville, NY and was a 1945 graduate of Whitesville Central School.\u00a0 She had resided in Hornell since 1947.\u00a0 She was employed for about 25 years as a seamstress at the former Marion Rohr Corporation.\u00a0 She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\u00a0 Her family was always her main focus and emphasis.\u00a0 Following retirement, she and her husband spent about 10 winters in Hernando, Florida.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, George W.
