He was an<br \/>\n11\u00bd year Veteran of the US Army, serving his country during the Vietnam Conflict.<\/p>\n<p>He was employed as a truck driver, primarily driving throughout New York State and Pennsylvania. Stoney enjoyed visiting various restaurants and, in his younger years, was an avid bowler.<\/p>\n<p>Carlyle had been married to his first wife, Jean, who died about 30 years ago. He was also preceded in death by his step-son, Kevin Frisbie.<\/p>\n<p>He was married on January 17, 1998 to the former Kay Arleen Thompson who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Carlyle \u201cEd\u201d (Jovelyn) Stone and Stephen (Brenda) Stone; 3 step-children, Deanna Frisbie, Dana Furlong and Fred Frisbie; along with several other family members.<\/p>\n<p>At Carlyle\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.
