{"id":7320,"date":"2024-11-28T16:04:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-28T21:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=7320"},"modified":"2024-11-28T19:48:06","modified_gmt":"2024-11-29T00:48:06","slug":"nancy-rae-gamo-cunningham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=7320","title":{"rendered":"Nancy Rae Gamo-Cunningham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194411-250x320.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194411-250x320.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194411-200x256.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194411.jpg 611w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/>Hornell, New York<\/p>\n<p>Nancy Rae Gamo-Cunningham, 57 of Spring Hill Florida, passed away peacefully at home from her 2 year battle with cancer on November 23rd, 2024 with many of her family members with her.<\/p>\n<p>She was born on May 22nd, 1967 to Doug and Linda Gamo in Hornell NY.\u00a0 After graduating from Arkport Central School, she went on to have a successful career as an accomplished Hair Stylist and then became a talented Yoga Instructor for many years.<\/p>\n<p>Nancy was married to Steve Cunningham for many years.\u00a0 Together they had three beautiful children: Benjamin Travis, Lucas Carter and Rachael Evelyn.\u00a0 After a number of years living in Florida, in 2022 Nancy and William Dunleavy were married.<\/p>\n<p>Family and friends will always remember Nancy as being a loving, free-spirit who always had such an incredible zest for life (and an infallible sense of style with her vintage clothing)!\u00a0 She had this infectious smile, she loved to laugh and dance, and she had the biggest heart, filled completely with love for everyone who came to know her.\u00a0 Nancy\u2019s strongest love was for her three children and subsequently her grandchildren, Carter and Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p>Nancy was deeply spiritual and well connected with nature.\u00a0 You\u2019d often find her in her garden with her feet and hands in the dirt, or molding pottery, meditating on the beach, or relaxing at her family cottage on Rushford Lake, breathing in everything that nature had to offer her there.\u00a0 \u00a0Nancy had so many hobbies and interests and loved learning new things.\u00a0 One of the beautiful things she created and was profoundly proud of was her Day-By-Day Caf\u00e9, in Hornell NY, which offered the community juices and healthy eating options.<\/p>\n<p>No doubt, Nancy\u2019s light touched so many<del><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7322 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-250x313.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-250x313.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-1024x1281.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-200x250.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-768x961.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421-1228x1536.jpg 1228w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_20241128_194421.jpg 1489w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/del> people and it will continue to shine on within those who she loved, including her parents Doug (deceased) and Linda Gamo (John Walsh), children Ben, Lucas (Arielle Cunningham) and Rachael, and grandchildren Carter and Charlotte.\u00a0 Additionally, her light remains in her husband, Bill Dunleavy;
