Clancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thomas J. \u201cTom\u201d Clancy \u2013 77 \u2013 of Ft. Wright, KY, formerly of Hornell, died Friday (August 12, 2011) following a long illness.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hornell on December 19, 1933, he was the son of Edward &amp; Florence (Feeney) Clancy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was also a Kentucky Colonel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tom was employed as District Operations Manager and employee of JC Penney Company for 37 years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He was the beloved husband of Barbara Clancy of Ft. Wright, KY; loving father of Thomas Joseph (Anna) Clancy, JR of Barrington, RI and Pamela J. Clancy of Albany, NY; beloved brother of Edward Clancy, John Leo (Peggy) Clancy and Richard (Barbara) Clancy, all of Hornell and Mary (James) O\u2019Connor of Dansville.\u00a0 He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Holly, Katherine and Laura Clancy; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces &amp; grand-nephews.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There will be no prior calling hours.\u00a0 A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann\u2019s Church.\u00a0 Final interment will be in St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.\u00a0\u00a0 Funeral arrangements are in care of the <strong>Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tom\u2019s family request that memorial contributions in his name be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thomas J. \u201cTom\u201d Clancy \u2013 77 \u2013 of Ft.
