Lorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-762\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?attachment_id=762\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-762\" title=\"Beatrice Lorrow Photo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Beatrice-Lorrow-Photo-250x313.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Beatrice-Lorrow-Photo-250x313.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Beatrice-Lorrow-Photo-200x251.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Beatrice-Lorrow-Photo.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a>Beatrice A. \u201cBea\u201d Lorrow \u2013 89 \u2013 formerly of 7042 Whitney Valley Rd., Almond, died early Sunday morning (August 21, 2011) at McAuley Manor, where she has resided for the past 8 months.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Angelica on June 2, 1922, she was the daughter of Clarence &amp; Mary (Eldridge) Weaver.<\/p>\n<p>Bea grew up in Alfred and was a member of the very first graduating class of Alfred Almond Central School.\u00a0 She lived in Almond for most of her life.<\/p>\n<p>She had been employed for several years at Westinghouse Corporation in Bath and for over 20 years was employed in the custodial department of Alfred Almond Central School.\u00a0 She retired in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Bea was a member of Alfred Station Seventh Day Baptist Church and also attended the Almond Union Church.\u00a0 She was an avid bowler and throughout the years bowled in several Ladies Leagues at the Hornell Bowl.\u00a0 She was also enjoyed rooting for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabers. Bea enjoyed working in her flower garden and also loved fishing &#8212; especially<br \/>\ntaking fishing trips to Black Lake with her sister.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>She was married to Kenneth \u201cAl\u201d Lorrow who died in 1984 and was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Alice Schreiber.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are 1 son, Kenneth (Patti) Lorrow of Almond; 1 daughter, Jean Thayer of Hornell; 1 step-son, Roy (Cindy) Lorrow of Tennessee; 1 sister, Barbara Horton of Campbell; 2 grandchildren, Kristin (Angelo) Sciotti and Karin (Rickey Ledbetter) Thayer; 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zack, Blake, Tanner &amp; Vickie; several nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Bea\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.\u00a0 Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Bea&#8217;s family request that memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Drive, Hornell, NY 14843.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beatrice A. \u201cBea\u201d Lorrow \u2013 89 \u2013 formerly of 7042 Whitney Valley Rd., Almond, died early Sunday morning (August 21, 2011) at McAuley Manor, where she has resided for the past 8 months.
