Gerald D. \u201cJerry\u201d O\u2019Donoghue \u2013 74 \u2013 died Tuesday morning (July 8, 2025) at Maple City Rehabilitation & Nursing Center (formerly Hornell Gardens) where he had resided for the past 8 years.<\/p>\n

Born in Denver, CO on September 30, 1950, he was the son of Edward & Irene O\u2019Donoghue.<\/p>\n

Jerry grew up in Aurora, CO and was a graduate of Aurora High School (class of 1968).\u00a0 He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving his country during the Vietnam era.<\/p>\n

He resided for many years in Canandaigua, NY where he was employed at the Pickering Pub.\u00a0 Jerry was a Denver Broncos fan and also a Buffalo Bills fan.\u00a0 He will be remembered for the great sense of humor.<\/p>\n

Surviving are 5 children, Jesse O\u2019Donoghue of North Carolina, Cory O\u2019Donoghue of Avoca, Kristy O\u2019Donoghue of Hornell, Melody O\u2019Donoghue of Newport News, VA and Daniela O\u2019Donoghue of Elmira; several brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews.<\/p>\n

At Jerry\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n

Jerry\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor\u2019s choice.<\/p>\n
