His work graced permanent collections at The South Bend Museum of Art and Alfred University. His work was featured at residencies in Maine, New York, and Peru\u2014culminating in exhibitions from the Midwest to the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leslie\u2019s art was innovative and empathic, inviting us to pause, breathe, and rediscover wonder in the ordinary. In this difficult time, Leslie would be gratified to have you interact with his art. Leslie had a unique way of making people feel seen and valued, and he delighted in sharing his broad knowledge with all people \u2013 whether you wanted to talk about techno music, video art, modular synthesis, nature, travel, history, philosophy, or the Detroit Lions. Known for his ever-curious nature, his incredible sense of humor, and his 6\u20196\u201d stature, Leslie was someone who made spaces feel more inclusive, ideas more engaging, and art more connected to life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born in Howell, MI on October 13, 1970, he was the son of Alvin &amp; Carolyn (Miresse) Rollins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leslie was a graduate of Howell High School (class of 1989) and later graduated from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. In 2020, he graduated from Alfred University with a Master\u2019s Degree in Fine Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2021, he returned to Alfred University where he was employed as a Technician for Expanded Media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On May 17, 1996, Leslie married Lisa Karpenko who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Carolyn Rollins Damron of Florida; his sister, Gina (David) Boller of Florida; his nephew, Justin Boller, and his niece, Victoria (Trent) Nachand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Leslie\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.
