Nicholas A. \u201cNick\u201d Arce \u2013 32 \u2013 of 456 Bennett Parkway, Hornell died Saturday (December 27, 2025) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, following a long illness.<\/p>\n
Born in Allentown, PA on December 28, 1992, and was the son of Joseph Arce and Anita (DeMarco) Arce and the step-son of Steven Smith.<\/p>\n
Nick\u2019s family resided in Ulysses, PA but moved to the Hornell area when Nick was about 3 years old.\u00a0 \u00a0He attended Hornell High School and later earned his General Educational Diploma (GED).<\/p>\n
Affectionately known as \u201cNarce\u201d to his friends, was a self-employed painter who painted both interior & exterior homes.\u00a0 He also worked for several \u201cHouse Flippers\u201d in the Rochester area.<\/p>\n
In his younger years, Nick was very into collecting Pok\u00e9mon cards and was an excellent \u201cVideo Gamer,\u201d who often played against world-wide competition.\u00a0 He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing in streams, creeks & lakes.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Arce who died in 2019.<\/p>\n
Surviving are his step-dad, Steven Smith of Canisteo; 3 brothers, Anthony \u201cTony\u201d Arce of Allentown, PA, Joseph \u201cJoe\u201d Arce of Canisteo and Tyler (Hannah) Smith of Scottsdale, AZ; several aunts, uncles & cousins.<\/p>\n
At Nick\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n
Nick\u2019s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY\u00a0 14843<\/p>\n
