Kuker \u2013 (54) \u2013 of 233 Vincent St., Hornell, died Monday afternoon (December 5, 2011) at McAuley Manor, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born April 25, 1957 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of Dudley &amp; Dolores (Novack) Kuker.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of Hornell since the age of 5, Darrin was a graduate of St. Ann\u2019s School and later graduated from Hornell High School (class of 1975).\u00a0 Following high school, she attended Allegany BOCES where she majored in Cosmetology.<\/p>\n<p>Darrin was employed for a time at The Americana Beauty Salon in Hornell.\u00a0 For 13 years she was employed at the former Sears Store in Hornell &#8212; first as a \u201ctele-typist\u201d and later at the Sears Furniture Outlet.\u00a0 For about 6 years she worked at the Hornell Humane Society as a general care-giver to the dogs &amp; cats and for 18 \u00bd years was employed at the former P&amp;C Grocery in Hornell as Bakery &amp; Produce Clerk.<!--more-->She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and had been a communicant of both St. Ann\u2019s Church and St. Ignatius Loyola Church.\u00a0 She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and throughout the years enjoyed the company of her pet dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Darrin is survived by her fianc\u00e9, Don Falzarano.\u00a0\u00a0 She will be sadly missed by her many friends, especially\u00a0 Jody Andrus, Betsy Pomeroy and the entire Falzarano family. .\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At Darrin\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St. NW, Washington, DC, 20037<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Darrin E.
