Dunn \u2013 84 \u2013 of Kurtz Hollow Road, South Dansville, NY died Sunday morning (August 16, 2026) at her home, following a long illness.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Oakland, MI on May 17, 1942, she was the daughter of Robert &amp; Dovey (Harper) Switzer.<\/p>\n<p>Doris grew up in the Rochester, NY area and had been employed as a Home Health Aid for about 15 years. She had been a member of the Megiddo Church in Rochester and has resided in South Dansville for the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>A talented seamstress, Doris enjoyed knitting &amp; crocheting and loved creating beautiful blankets, pillows, scarves, Afghans &amp; doileys which she gave to family &amp; friends. She also loved spending time in the kitchen and was an excellent cook &amp; baker and will be remembered for having a great sense of humor. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family and simply being a loving mother, grandmother &amp; great-grandmother.<\/p>\n<p>Doris was preceded in death by Charles Dunn; 2 sisters, Margaret Russell &amp; Ruth Jones; 1 brother, Amos Switzer.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her son, Benjamin \u201cBen\u201d Dunn of the Philippines; her daughter, Yolanda \u201cLonna\u201d DiGrazio of South Dansville; her brother, Henry Switzer of Rochester; along with several grandchildren (including Casey Bartell &amp; Marissa Luciano), great-grandchildren, nieces &amp; nephews.<\/p>\n<p>At Doris\u2019 request there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Rogersville Forrest Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Doris\u2019 family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to CareFirst Hospice, 3805 Meads Creek Rd.
