{"id":851,"date":"2011-12-17T22:48:25","date_gmt":"2011-12-17T22:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=851"},"modified":"2011-12-18T14:49:25","modified_gmt":"2011-12-18T14:49:25","slug":"marilyn-ruth-gilmore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dagonfuneralhome.com\/?p=851","title":{"rendered":"Marilyn &#8220;Ruth&#8221; Gilmore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marilyn \u201cRuth\u201d Gilmore \u2013 80 \u2013 of 90 Seneca St., formerly of 21 Allen St., Hornell, died Friday afternoon (December 16, 2011) at Hornell Gardens where she had resided for the past 5 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Hartford, CT on February 15, 1931, she was the daughter of Dewey &amp; Martha Milliner.<\/p>\n<p>A resident of Hornell for most of her adult life, Ruth had been employed as a housekeeper &amp; receptionist for both Dr. John Kelly\u00a0 &amp;\u00a0 Dr. James Kelly in Hornell for many years.\u00a0 She also owned &amp; operated a child day-care from her home for several years.<\/p>\n<p>Ruth had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Hornell.\u00a0 She enjoyed working on cross word puzzles, knitting &amp; crocheting.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>She was preceded by several brothers &amp; sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her daughter, Emma (Dude) Breitbarth of Corinth, MS; 3 grandchildren, Aaron Breitbarth of Germany, Daisy Breithbarth of Peoria, IL and Gregg Pari of Dallas, TX; 2 brothers, Calvin Milliner of Hornell and William Milner of Maryland; her dear friend &amp; caregiver, Dawn Sutfin of\u00a0 Hornell.<\/p>\n<p>At Ruth\u2019s request there will be no calling hours.\u00a0 Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Ruth\u2019s family request that memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marilyn \u201cRuth\u201d Gilmore \u2013 80 \u2013 of 90 Seneca St., formerly of 21 Allen St., Hornell, died Friday afternoon (December 16, 2011) at Hornell Gardens where she had resided for the past 5 weeks.
