what a wonderful person Helen was. I enjoyed our talks over the years of knowing her. When I heard the news, I couldn’t believe it, as I had just seen her and talked with her. She graduated with my Mom, and my Mom sends her sympathy to your family. Helen will be dearly missed by all her knew her and the American Legion won’t be the same… To her family, you are in my prayers always. It was an honor knowing your Mom and our lives were blessed because of it. God bless always.

My Deepest Sympathy to each of Helen’s family. A Lady who did so much for so many. Serving her county was rare in 1951, Helen was so proud. Helen’s middle name should have been “volunteer”, so many organizations and committees were for the area folks, always lending a helping hand so others could live a better life. I feel blessed to have worked with Helen while she was office manager for Res 6-4, she was a perfectionist in everything she was tasked. I enjoyed so many stories of Joan, Barb and Mary, I felt as though we grew up together.A beautiful lady that left each of us with so many memories, some with tears but many others that caused tears of laughter. I always pictured Helen, collecting flowers (friends) throughout her life, I’m thankful to be able to call her my friend. What a beautiful bouquet she had. We’ll miss you Helen, and say Thank you for the memories and friendship along the way. A Hornell icon we’ll never forget. RIP Helen

    And deepest sympathy,
