Danny M. Powell – 66 – of West Washington St., Bath, died unexpectedly on Friday (March 29, 2024) at his home.
Born in Baltimore, MD on March 15, 1958, he had been employed as a laborer for various construction companies throughout New York State.
Surviving are his daughter, Angela Powell of Schenectady, NY along with several siblings.
At Danny’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.

Danny aka Duke will be cherished by us. I would check in on periodically at the end of his life. He asked me to start Bible studies with him. He was kind hearted and heart of gold and was a pleasure to visit. Even though I asked him for nothing he would always remind me to ask him if I needed anything. I only wanted to keep him company which is more than payment in itself. I found out the way he passed and I was relieved he passed in peace. My condolences to all his family and friends. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
