Angela “Angie” Wheeler-Caldwell – 78 – of 9 East Ave., Arkport, died Tuesday afternoon (November 30, 2010) at St. James Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Hornell on December 24, 1931, she was the daughter of Nicholas & Mamie (Vegard) Sciotti.
Angie spent her early years in Hornell and was a graduate of St. Ann’s School. Her family moved to Arkport during her teenage years and she was a graduate of Arkport Central School (class of 1949).
While in high school, Angie worked at the Arkport Inn, a local restaurant owned & operated by her parents. She was also employed at the former Argentieri’s Meat Market. During the construction of Route 17, she was employed as an accounting clerk for several of the construction companies, including Brown Engineers, S.J. Groves & Sons and Cold Spring Construction.

Catherine B. “Bridget” Quartz – (84) – a resident of McAuley Manor, formerly of Churchville, NY, died Monday morning (November 29, 2010) at McAuley Manor following a long illness.
Joreen A. Young – 28 – of 49 Stephens St., Hornell, died unexpectedly on Saturday (November 27, 2010).
Elmer J. “Jack” Stocum – (81) – of 51 Wood St., Hornell, died unexpectedly early Friday morning (November 26, 2010) at his home.
John A. Falzarano – 90 – of County Rt. 66, Green Acres Trailer Park, Hornell, died Saturday evening (November 13, 2010) at St. James Mercy Hospital, following a brief illness.
Dr. Rose-Andree Feuchtwanger – 90 – formerly of Hornell, died Thursday afternoon (November 4, 2010) at the Steuben County Health Care facility where she has resided for the past 2 years.
Peter J. “Pete” Cartella – 76 – of 65 Watrous St., Perry, NY, formerly of Hornell, died Wednesday morning (November 3, 2010) at Highland Hospital in Rochester following a long illness.
Seraphina A. “Sarah” Fortuna – (94) – a resident of Hornell Gardens, formerly of 36 Sawyer St. Site, Hornell, died Tuesday evening (November 2, 2010) at St. James Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She had resided at Hornell Gardens since 1998.
