Anthony E. “Tony” Vallone, 72, of Churchill Place, Big Flats, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, June 21, 2026, following a long illness.

Born in Buffalo, New York, on December 11, 1953, he was the son of John and Anna (Mastrangelo) Vallone.

Tony grew up in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood and graduated from Iroquois High School with the Class of 1971 before attending Canisius College. Throughout his life, he lived in several places, including Buffalo, Tennessee, Elma, New York, and Pennsylvania, before spending his final months in Big Flats with his daughter and family.

Throughout his career, Tony worked in a variety of fields, including aerospace manufacturing, automobile sales, and skilled trades. He was employed by Derrick Corporation and Moog during his working years and spent part of his career helping build components used in the aerospace industry.

Tony was known for his ability to fix, build, or figure out just about anything. Whether working on cars, plumbing, painting, home repairs, or countless other projects, he took pride in sharing his knowledge and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. He was a man of many talents whose resourcefulness and determination left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Tony was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan and also enjoyed following professional basketball. He was a passionate fisherman, spending many of his retirement days by the lake. More than any hobby or pastime, however, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, Alex and Abby, who brought him tremendous pride and joy.

Surviving are his former wife, Annette Guzal Vallone of Depew; his daughter, Elizabeth (Gregory) Stachowski, with whom he resided; two brothers, Joseph (Bunny) Vallone of Cherry Creek, New York, and John (Corrine) Vallone of Buffalo; two sisters, Anne (Bob) Champagne of Depew, New York, and Julie (Rich) Beers of Orchard Park, New York; two beloved grandchildren, Alexander “Alex” Stachowski and Abigail “Abby” Stachowski; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In accordance with Tony’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church Street, Hornell, NY.

Tony will be remembered for his resilience, his generosity, the knowledge and skills he freely shared with others, and above all, the love he held for his family.
