Tanya A. Clark – (39) – of 26 Sawyer St., Hornell, died unexpectedly Monday evening (February 18, 2019).
Born in Dansville, NY on March 21, 1979, and was the daughter of William Clark and the former Terry Beach.
Tanya grew up in South Dansville and while in the 5th grade her family moved to Hornell. She was a graduate of Hornell High School (class of 1997) and later attended Morrisville State College. She had resided in the Hornell / Canisteo area for most of her adult life.
She had been employed for a time as an office manager for the former Testoria Rail in Hornell and had served as a bartender for several local pubs & taverns. In her younger years, Tanya had a deep affection for horses and enjoyed show horses and equestrian riding. She also enjoyed playing softball and fishing.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Halley Smith and Natalie Smith; 1 son, Lucas Smith; her mother & step-father, Terry & Dan Zayac of Chesterfield, VA; her father & step-mother, William & Yvonne Clark of Wayland; her sister, Melissa Clark of Buffalo, NY; her maternal grandparents, Tom & Betty Beach of Arkport; her paternal grandmother, Arlene Clark of Hornell; her extended family, the father of her children, Stan Smith of Canisteo, Zach Mozzar of Florida,Jessica (Eric) Marino, Carly (Brian) Dooley and Shane Zayac, all of North Carolina; Tim & Julie Timmerman of Arkport.
At Tanya’ request there will be no calling hours. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Tanya’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to The Smith Children College Fund, C/O Stan Smith, 4446 Bush Hill Rd., Canisteo, NY 14823.

Connie Elizabeth “Liz” Kraft – 54 – of 22 Emily Dr., Corning, NY, formerly of Hornell, died early Wednesday morning (February 6, 2019) as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Arthur J. “Art” Roselli – 79 – of 10104 Oak Hill Road, Arkport, died Thursday afternoon (January 24, 2019) at his home, following a brief illness.
Gerald D. “Jerry” Canty – 84 – of 47 East Washington St., Hornell, died early Wednesday morning (January 23, 2019), at Elderwood Nursing Facility in Hornell following a long illness.
Richard J. “Rich” Dunn – 56 – of 7978 State Route 36 (The Oaks), Arkport, NY died Friday evening (January 18, 2019) at home, following a long illness.
Kimberly A. “Kim” Hawley – 43 – of 31 Church St., Hornell, died Sunday evening (January 13, 2019) at St. James Mercy Hospital, surrounded by her family, following a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
David S. “Dave” May – 50 – of 40 Meadows Park, Arkport, died Thursday evening (January 3, 2019) at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following a long illness.
Annamarie Lowry – 67 – of 36 Cameron Ave., Hornell, died late Monday evening (December 31, 2018) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Presbyterian Hospital), surrounded by family and friends.
