Angelina P. “Angie” Lisi

Angelina P. “Angie” Lisi – (90) – of 52 Church St., Hornell, died Monday evening (January 7, 2013) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A native & life resident of Hornell, she was born August 4, 1922 and was the daughter of Constantino & Rose (Colomarino) Pardi.

Angie was a graduate of St. Ann’s School and later graduated from Hornell High School (class of 1940).  She was employed for several years as a secretary & receptionist for Dr. Taylor in Hornell and later worked in the x-ray department of St. James Mercy Hospital.  For over 25 years, Angie was employed as a telephone operator for the former New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.  Angie was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sons of Italy and also a former member of the Telephone Pioneers.  She enjoyed cooking & baking and simply taking care of her family.

Angie was married on July 17, 1946 to Jack Lisi who died May 16, 1991.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Mashiotta.

Surviving are 2 sons, Jack R. “JR” (Cheryl) Lisi of Murfreesboro, TN and Robert A. “Bobby” Lisi of Hornell; 1 daughter, Mary Christine Lisi of Hornell; 1 granddaughter, Kristen (Kolby) Ninos; 1 great-granddaughter, Iliana Ninos; many nieces & nephews.

The family of Angelina P. “Angie” Lisi will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church with burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Angie’s family request that memorial contribution in her name be made to either St. Ann’s Church, 27 Erie Ave., Hornell, NY 14843 or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.  Memorial forms will be available at the Dagon Funeral Home.
