Anna May Stottlemyer – (65) – of 3081 County Route 6, Cohocton, NY died Friday evening (April 26, 2013) at Hornell Gardens, following a brief illness.
Born in Oceanside, CA on July 1, 1947, she was the daughter of Henry & Betty (Staley) Chensa.
Anna grew up in Oceanside, CA where she graduated from high school an she resided in California for most of her life. She lived in Arizona for about 2 years and has resided in the Cohocton area for the past 5 years.
Anna had a love of animals and enjoyed bird-watching and taking care of her dogs.
She had been married for about 37 years to Walter Stottlemyer who died in 2006.
Ann was married in 2008 to Robert “Bob” Sutton who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons, James Adams, Kerry Stottlemyer, Jody Stottlemyer and Jesse Stottlemyer, all of California; her step-children, Holly Kurtz, Jeffery Sutton, Daniel Sutton, Shawn Sutton, David Sutton and Bobby Sutton all of New York State; many grandchildren; several cousins, including Maryann Staley of Hornell.
At Anna’s request there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 4:00 PM the Living Waters Church in Hornell with Rev. Gary Miles officiating.
