Theresa C. Hoeffner – 86 – a resident of McAuley Manor, formerly of Fremont, died Tuesday evening (June 25, 2013) at Rochester General Hospital following a Brief illness.
Born in Floral Park, Long Island on October 29, 1926, she was the daughter of Phillip & Theresa (Wulforst) Hoeffner.
Theresa was employed for over 40 years as a saleslady & buyer at the former Tuttle & Rockwell Store in Hornell, retiring about 20 years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Philip Hoeffner and Robert Hoeffner; 2 sisters, Irene Briggs, and Marion “Dolly” Dorfer.
Surviving are 3 sisters, Helen Burke of Hornell, Emma Potter of Moore, OK and Josephine “Sis” Donoghue of Rochester; 2 brothers, George Hoeffner of Arkport and Thomas (Ann) Hoeffner of Hornell; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
At Theresa’s request there will be no prior calling hours. Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church. Final interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
