  6. John Eveland says:

As her grandson, I will miss her dearly. She was an amazing woman, who was funny, strong and full of life. I would really like to thank the nurses, such as you Anna, for taking care of her all these years. I saw her last summer and could see she was well taken care of. Thank you for your kindness in a probably sometimes thankless job. RIP Annie, I love you.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus comfort and console you as you mourn Anne’s loss. I remember her as a young wife and mother when the Eveland’s lived across the street from us on Elizabeth Street. I would often see her cuddling the children and playing with them on the front lawn. When she was at McAuley, I occasionally stopped to visit her.I was so saddened when I realized she didn’t know me, but I had the opportunity to stay quietly and hold her hand. That meant a lot to me. My love and sympathy to all.
