Charles A. “Chuck” Kaye

Charles A. “Chuck” Kaye – 74 – formerly of Rochester, NY, died early Friday morning December 26, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 4, 1951, he was the son of Peter & Aphrodite “Dotty” (Gerogiannis) Katsafouros.

Chuck grew up in Brooklyn, NY & New Jersey and eventually his family moved to Penfield, NY.  He was a graduate of Penfield High School (class of 1968) and later graduated from Alleghany College in Meadville, PA.  He received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester in 1977.

He was employed for many years as a financial & budget analyst for Eastman Kodak in Rochester and later for the Rochester City School District.  He retired in 2013.

In his younger years, after earning his private pilot’s license, Chuck enjoyed flying small airplanes.  He enjoyed golf and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane Odenbach.

Surviving are 2 sons, Alexander Kaye and Adam Kaye of Rochester, NY and a daughter, Veronica Kaye of Philadelphia.

At Chuck’s request there will be no calling hours.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.

Chuck’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
