Todd W. Carnrite – 55 – of 23 McDougall Ave., Hornell, died unexpectedly Saturday Morning (February 7, 2026).

Born in Syracuse, NY on January 4, 1971, he was the son of Floyd & Susan (Meaker) Carnrite.

Todd grew up in Eastwood and attended Henninger High School in Syracuse. After earning his General Education Development (GED) Diploma, he took classes for asbestos removal.

A resident of the Hornell area for the past 7 years, Todd was self-employed as a house painter. He had a deep appreciation of music and was an excellent guitar player and throughout the years played in several bands. Todd also was a “solo-artist” who has written several songs and who enjoyed performing publicly but also enjoyed playing in several church groups. He was an accomplished artist who loved sketching and painting and often created the beautiful artwork used by tattoo artists.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Carnrite; and his sister, Jennifer Hykleman.

He was married to the former Donna Rowley who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Alexis and Cheyenne, both of Tennessee; his mother, Susan Dennis of Syracuse; 1 brother, Jeff Carnrite of Syracuse; 2 step-children, James Palaszynski of Batavia, NY and Jamie Lynn Frapollie of Rochester, NY; along with 1 grandchild, nieces & nephews.

At Todd’s request there will be no calling hours. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.

Todd’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
