Sharon C. Flickner – 80 – of 7940 State Route 36, Arkport, died unexpectedly Sunday morning (October 22, 2023) at her home.
Born in Dansville, NY on September 30, 1943, she was the daughter of Stephen & Geraldine Cowley.
Sharon grew up in Dansville and was a graduate of Dansville High School (class of 1961). She has resided in the Dansville – Arkport area for most of her adult life.
Throughout the years, Sharon had been employed as a waitress at several restaurants and as a cashier for several grocery stores. She was a NASCAR fan whose favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt JR. she also enjoyed watching TV(especially soap operas) and listening to country music.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Cowley.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Rebecca (Ed) Skelly of Dunkirk, NY, Regina Flickner of Kentucky and Marlena (Jubert) Lloyd of Albion, NY; her son, Jon Flickner of Arkport; her sister, Barbara Bliemeister of Batavia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Sharon’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
