Dr. Rose-Andree Feuchtwanger – 90 – formerly of Hornell, died Thursday afternoon (November 4, 2010) at the Steuben County Health Care facility where she has resided for the past 2 years.
Born in the South of France on June 25, 1920, she was raised in the suburbs of Paris and was the daughter of Edouard & Anne (Noffke) Picamilh.
She studied in Paris and in 1939, at the age of 19, was married to Klaus Feuchtwanger. In 1940 they moved to the United States and lived for about 3 years in Manhattan and later settled on Long Island. For about 10 years she and her husband owned and operated their own business making wallet inserts.
When she was in her mid-30’s, she and her husband moved to Switzerland where they completed pre-med and then medical school earning their degrees in psychiatry.
